Font Licensing

One set of rules covers every font sold here. It applies automatically as soon as you buy — there's nothing extra to sign. This page explains it in plain language; your order receipt is the official record of what you bought, so if the two ever disagree, go with what the receipt says.

Last updated 2026.

The basics

This is the agreement between you (the person buying a font) and me — I'm an independent type designer running GGDESIGN out of Italy. Buy a font here, and these are the rules for using it.

Each purchase includes the font file(s) for what you bought, plus whichever usage license(s) you picked at checkout — Desktop, Webfont, E-pub, and/or App. Some of the fonts I sell are variable fonts: for those, the one file you download already contains every weight and style it offers, so there's nothing separate to buy or download per style. Not every font is variable, though — some are single-style files, and that's fine too.

You only get the rights for the license(s) you actually paid for. Pick a tab below for the one you need.

License types

General terms

Ownership. I keep full copyright and ownership of every font. Buying a license gives you the rights described above — it doesn't hand over ownership of the design or the font files themselves.

Term. This agreement runs until it's terminated. I can end it with 30 days' notice if its terms are broken, or right away if a font turns up somewhere clearly outside what was licensed — a public font-hosting service, for instance.

Refunds. Happy to refund a purchase within 30 days if the font hasn't been used in any published or released work yet — just get in touch and delete your local copies once it's processed.

No warranty. Fonts are provided as-is, with no guarantee that they'll be fit for any particular purpose.

Liability. I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, a font.

Governing law. This agreement is governed by Italian law.

Changes. I may update these terms over time. Changes apply to new purchases going forward and won't take away rights you already have on a license you bought earlier.

Payments

Checkout is handled by Polar, which acts as merchant of record for every sale on this site — meaning Polar is the seller you're transacting with for billing and tax purposes, and it takes care of collecting and remitting sales tax/VAT on each order.
